Heads down links up
So I blinked, and suddenly it’s April?! Heads down doesn’t even cover it—2026 has hit the ground running, and I’ve barely had a chance to look up.
I feel lucky that work has been busy, and I’m still feeling optimistic about the year, a few months in. I’m finally doing so much stuff that I’ve put off in both my personal and professional life, and the closing-the-loop satisfaction always hits.
Speaking of which: the Super Keen annual studio report is out! Lauren and I just wrapped our fifth year in business, which is WILD to me. New website, new work formats, a first-ever internship program, and an honest look at the numbers (yes, including the red ones). Read the full report here.
And if you’ve been following our new case study format, we’ve evolved that into something more intentional—a series called Open Files, where Lauren volunteered as tribute to be the first face of many projects. More dropping soon. In an unexpected turn of events, I really like editing these videos and figuring out how to layer graphics and sound. I hope they get better as I slowly learn what I’m doing.
I’m glad to be back. Let’s get into some links.
